About Us

Located at the Dane/Green County line and less than 15 minutes away from Verona, the Village of Belleville is one of the fastest growing communities in southern Wisconsin. Hundreds of new housing units are slated for construction in the coming years, making the area a true destination for those of all ages.

To help meet these increased service delivery needs, Belleville Area EMS has dozens of paramedics, advanced emergency medical technicians, and basic level emergency medical technicians trained, equipped, and ready to respond 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Our two ambulances currently run at the Advanced EMT level. In addition to the most advanced training, our crews utilize state-of-the-art equipment and technologies, providing emergency care with professionalism and compassion.

The Belleville Area EMS District provides 911 emergency response to the Village of Belleville, the Town of Montrose – including the unincorporated communities of Paoli and Basco - the Town of Exeter, and portions of the Towns of Oregon and Brooklyn. We provide mutual aid to surrounding communities as needed and are a member of Dane County MABAS Division 115. MABAS 115

Belleville Area EMS responds to around 500 calls a year, a number that continues to increase.

Rescue 48, our primary ambulance, is a 2019 Braun on a Ford F450 chassis. It features a Stryker Power load cot to assist lifting patients in and out of the ambulance.  It was purchased new and placed in service in October of 2019.

Rescue 49 is a 2007 Braun on a Ford E350 chassis.  It is staffed as needed for special events or if there are multiple responses needed at the same time and crew is available.  It is stocked the same as Rescue 48 so the crew can provide the same level of care in both trucks.  This truck was placed in service in November of 2020.
